Gulfstream IV
Compared to the G-III, the G-IV has gained 4.5 feet in usable interior space but maintains Gulfstream’s famous stand-up cabin. The cabin has a length of 45.1 feet, width of 7.3 feet, and height of 6.1 feet. Up to 16 passengers can be accommodated in the G-IV comfortably. Amenities include a large galley and full-sized lavatory, including a shower. The G-IV is an ideal midsize, intercontinental-range business jet. Gulfstream’s aircraft have evolved through new technologies and improvements, and the G-IV is evidence of this. With a new design, upgraded engines and additional space, the G-IV offers great performance in the intercontinental class of jets; so great that Gulfstream modeled most of their latest jets off of the G-IV. It is also offered in a single-pilot modification, the G-IVSP. It is very hard to tell the difference between the G-IV and G-IVSP on the ramp. The key difference is the cabin door. You know it's a G-IVSP when the cabin door is really close to the windows. The G-IV has all the entertainment systems in the cockpit where as the G-IVSP has the entertainment system in the cabin. So the door on the G-IV had to be moved farther back on the fuselage to accommodate the extra space needed in the cockpit.
